EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Despite being a product of South Africa, my iMamba lives in the American mid-tech drawer on the side with my numerous CRKs, due to it's similar design language and being from Chris Reeve's nation of origin. I put the AB away there this morning and moved a couple steps to the right to the one of my two three-tiered, two-drawer boxes that holds my accumulation of BMKs, grabbing my 550 HG in 154CM with Wilkins natural G11 scales. That one got me looking at Kevin's website, checking out his handsome West Wind model knife, and getting out another former Griptilian that wears his aluminum scales and S30V replacement blade . The latter and the WW are almost identical and got me wondering if the complete knife's scales aren't just his GX2's with a couple minor mods as well as wondering if that knife could mix and match with Griptilian and other Wilkins Grip-related components.

Anyway, I worked a bit in the sheetmetal shop today, making a door pan, with both knives alongside or in pocket and got some pictures outside while getting an arm load of split oak for our masonry wood heater that loads in the basement just outside the metal shop.

One of the many things I like about Wilkins GX2 scales is they include a butt spacer that still leaves the knife largely open-backed and has an integral lanyard attachment-- definitely one of my most-favored knife features.

BTW, here's a leeched picture of a Wilkins Knives West Wind--not a lot different in features than my aluminum scaled Grip with replacement blade. Nice knife, but not cheap and not currently offered on his website.
