EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

G'morning!!!!!!

Apparently I had 5700/500 attachments so I deleted 1700......Took hours since I can only deal with 10 minutes or so of screen time before I get wicked headaches!!!!! Thanx Mr. Bowling ball sized rock.😡....
I can definitely see self mutilation being more enchanting than delete are you sure yup delete it ...😩
Are the headaches from the glass in your face. Hope they go away soon.
Ssshhhh…close your eyes, can you see it? Yes yes its a Large Sebenza 21 Insingo!

For those youngsters amoung us, this is called using your imagination! Its what we did when there were only 3 TV channels, the internet hadn’t been invented by Al Gore yet and phones were hooked to the kitchen wall!
Or on the wall going to the bedrooms so a drunk person would knock the handset off the cradle. Might know a little about that. Also as kids we worked and stayed outside. Watching one of the three channels was a treat

There was some discussion amongst Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery , Chronovore Chronovore , myself and others over at the Arno Bernard iMamba praise thread regarding the makers' choice of blade steel for that knife. My most recent post there mentioned that I have numerous higher-end knives with supposedly "lesser" steels that I'm perfectly content with. I thought I might take a run through some of those steels, if not those very knives, over the next few days and, needing a work knife, I stayed in the Benchmade box and grabbed my TSEK in 440C. Though somewhat rare these days, this is not one of those "higher-end" knives I mentioned, but one I do like very much.

Like its companion AFCK, this one was designed by Chris Caracci as a folding military knife and shares the same handle and overall arched configuration but with a different, though somewhat similar, blade style and opening method. Like the 806 AFCK the 805 TSEK originally came as a liner lock (800 AFCK & 803 TSEK).

I bought this from a friend who is no longer active here, but is still very much so on Benchmade's own forum. He got it from someone who had thinned the blade but had never finished polishing and sanding it. My seller never did and , so far, neither have I. It's a work knife anyway....

BTW, this one came to me with one of the sharpest edges I've ever handled. IIRC I almost immediately cut myself fooling with it.

I doubt it will be going anywhere anytime soon, but I’ll keep you in mind if I ever do decide to let it go.

Swapping it up a little today. Still carrying the GEC 98, but It needs some maintenance today. Some rust developing from the heat and humidity in my pocket all week. The Sebenza I was carrying all week also had some issues. The wood scales developed a noticeable hump in them from all the moisture. From the contour, it really looks like the adhesive under the middle may have come loose. They are still tight, and look a little better today than yesterday. Swapping it out for the iMamba to see how the wood recovers.

I actually did notice a tiny bit of rust on the punch blade of your GEC the other day, must have been a very moist day for that to happen plus the wood inlay on the Seb to contort a little bit. I wish you luck on the inlay! They use VHB tape to secure them, I've got some, however mine's pretty thick and I figure CRK must use some extremely thin stuff. I'd send ya a piece big enough for both sides if you want it. Thanks for keeping me in mind on the GEC though, I know you're pretty attached to it.
