I set out to work on hanging that salvaged door on my wife's garden shed this afternoon despite the intermittent rain and crappy weather, figuring I could do most of the prep work in my shop and save the actual install for another day. Instead, I became less than satisfied with the door I'd chosen, dug a few others out that weren't right either, and ended up abandoning the project for the day.

For a work knife I'd figured I'd try to choose a Cheburkov as I have none of those in that category as they all get carried in more of an EDC capacity. The clip on my Frieze is already beat up from the large, Ti bead on its tail and it has a good sturdy blade so I figured to give it a go in that role. In the end it didn't matter and I'll leave it for another day to evaluate.

I ducked into the woodshed for pics on what little remains fo this season's supply to avoid the on and off precipitation.

I’ll be happy when I can get back to the majority of my knives. For now, they’re stashed away in preparation for a move. I’ve got one display case my wife let me keep out while the house was on the market. On the plus side, I’m getting reacquainted with a few that don’t often get carried on a daily basis.

Today it’s a 7.5” Boudicca from South African maker Anton van der Westhuizen.
