Performed a surgery to extract this cylinder, couldn't turn the key to start the car yesterday. Gonna put it all back together today and have same carry for good luck.
But the best part of my day was something else knives related. It's BIG.
The ignition assembly is held to a steering wheel with tamper free screws and I was going to break these screws free with a chisel to get whole assembly out. I ended up leaving this assembly on and just took out that cylinder.
Had to do some funky drilling next to a hole that holds a pin and then try to pull the pin out to release cylinder part. Wife was very impressed 👏, she had her doubts.

How's it knife related?, I know I know...

I went to a neighbor to ask for a chisel i couldn't find otherwise. My second year at this new place and I only started talking to this neighbor (he is retired) a few weeks back about my other car. I see him working on some things when it's warm out and he got a welder and all kinds of tools. So this time, I went up to his garage and I notice knife blanks laying around. We start talking and this guy has a knife collection, a plasma cutter, a variable speed grinder, a custom heat treating oven, some other cnc looking apparatus, all kinds of handle materials lol 😆, belts, the whole deal. So I'm now invited to learn and make a knife later on at some point. What in the world !, woot.!

Costco trip carry, which means Salmon for supper 😋. I'm debating whether or not to go get some charcoal and give the ol' Weber its spring cleaning, but I make a mean pan seared so I may just enjoy a lazy Sunday on the porch instead.
