EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I've been looking for a KW Leafstorm 9 (?) and have failed so this was the next best thing.
I'll be happy with this one...till the next one comes along.
And yes, also a fan.

I've been fascinated with the KW Leafstorm for quite some time and the 9 with its sliding bar lock only adds to the intrigue. On the other hand, that one falls way to the short side of my usual size range, even though I do have and sometimes carry smallish knives, either as seconds or when the situation calls for a more discreetly-sized blade. Recently, I acquired a GM ACE Biblio which bears some similarity to the Leafstorm, at least in blade shape, hole, and size. Being so satisfied with my all-Wilkins Grip, I think I'll let the Biblio scratch that itch for a while and promise not to fight you for it if a Leafstorm pops up, Barman. ;)

Those came from me.
Awesome grips there.

Those are Keyman Customs.
That’s contoured black paper micarta scales with a diamond eye’s texturing and a GITD back spacer.
These textured surface sets of scales are much more difficult to make. Normally the scale material comes in perfectly flat slabs, easy. That’s not the case here, one side of each slab is not only textured, but also contoured to the edges (with either a 1/8 or 1/16 drop).
These differences require different procedures in order to create the precise holes and counter bores
that are required for a working set of scales.
Love those scales....there’s nothing grippier.

They are awesome and indeed grippy! The contoured edges make them very comfortable in hand. Keyman i sent you a PM.

Beautiful day today, so J and I are sitting out back in the dappled sun and shade enjoying the first real stretch of nice weather on the Cape this season. I brought my EdgePro outside and put fresh edges on the new Tabargan and the Wilkins Grip. I followed @Barman1 's lead and went to 18 DPS on the Wilkins. Like he mentioned, the blade is ground really thin behind the edge, so most of it re-profiled easily, but the primary grind was a tiny bit thicker at the heel and the secondary less acute there, so I spent a lot of time getting that part right. It has the tiniest beard right at the choil, but that S30V took a wicked keen, polished edge. :)

Right now, these two are today's carry, I guess. The Biblio stayed inside. :(
