Thanks for the insight! I didn't realize that H1 knives never came full flat ground. Yeah, if I go H1 or H2 I think I'd like to go full serrated. I've got the Sharpmaker to maintain the serrations, so might as well go that way for the increased edge retention.I have a few in H1 as well in plain edge and serrated and take an older gen 3 style pac salt PE when I go offshore fishing. Both steels work great as far as being rust proof and either is fully capable in my saltwater experiences. If FFG and more edge retention is desired, then LC200N is the way to go. (iirc H1 models don't offer FFG). My H1 pac salts were indeed bargains in comparison and ya cant go wrong with either imo. Haven’t tried any H2 yet.
