EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Spent the entire day yesterday stocking up on provisions, getting stuff squared away and just settling in for the next 10 days.

With our granddaughters and son-in-law arriving this afternoon, today was the first and only day I was allowed to sleep in. A few deer passing through the backyard at sunrise set the dog on a barking frenzy….which quickly squashed any hopes I had of staying in bed all morning.

Anyway, thought I’d grab a few pics of my “DTK”……or Dedicated Travel Knife. My idea here is that I take this particular small 31 with me every time we leave town, even for short visits to our GA place. Over the last 2-3 years it’s been to Alaska, Canada, the Grand Canyon and several other destinations. My hope is that years from now I’ll have an album of pics showing the knife in places all around the world….and that it will lend some sentimental value to the knife that my son will be able to build upon when he eventually/inevitably takes possession of it. I’m guessing 99% of my collection won’t really mean much to anyone else at that point….which is why I’ve left instructions to be buried with the rest; but that’s another topic of discussion.

So that’s the story behind the “DTK”, just in case ya’ missed it the first few times I explained it, lol. Obviously, not every pic makes it to the album (these certainly won’t)….but we’ve got a few excursions planned for the upcoming week, so we’ll see what happens.
