EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Don't see many Quartermaster knives on here. I know there was some controversy about them back in the day, but I still love them.
I've got my Tanto Roper with me today. G-10 show side and their "Texas Tea" finish on the titanium side and blade. One of my few "drop-shut" EDC knives:

That's a nice one. I heard the same thing. Something about him not being honest about the steel he uses?? Mine is 154CM & I keep it sharp just by stropping it once in a while. It's a great little knife & has been in my rotation for years.

No issues with the steel on mine, either. And all I do is keep it touched up on a fine ceramic rod when needed.
I've got this one pictured and another one in their "Tuxedo Black" finish. Both are well-made, high-function, drop-shut, EDC gems IMHO.

I'm on duty in the kitchen today. In the stew with pork. At the same time, I decided to try my new purchase. I've had the knife since Thursday.
Sharpening out of the box was four minus out of five. I realized this even when unpacking. And adjusted the knife on the 1200 grit ceramic. Literally 3-4 passes. The knife began to shave.
But let's go in order.
First, melt the lard in the cast iron. And to melt, you need to chop:

Then the meat:

Both are without problems, it is quite expected with such geometry. Next is the turn of carrots:

I clean it by scraping the blade at 90 degrees. Here I discovered with interest that I can do it with my butt. No, the microfask is removed there, and it is impossible to cut yourself with all your desire. Nevertheless, it is quite comfortable to peel root crops and skin fish with a butt.

Potato.

Here I found that the knife is slightly buried. Careless sharpening may be affecting.

The handle is surprisingly comfortable. It would seem to be completely buried in the fist. But due to the pads tapering to the blade, and the absence of any sharp corners, the handle plays perfectly in the hand. It is comfortable with any grip.
Well, then the bow,

Zucchini,

Greens,

Everything is standard, smooth, without surprises.

This is a bit of a PSA too… That model LM there, the Free P4, is the finest multitool in existence for general use. The whole magnet thing isn’t a gimmick. Makes the action and usage amazing. I’m not in any way benefiting from this, I just know many of my blade bros tend to carry, use, and understand the value of a good multi tool and for any that might be looking for a replacement…IMG_1486.jpeg

Dreary day today--foggy, gray, and cloudy early, then raining since mid-day. The rain's not cooling it off either and it's hot, muggy, and wet. Consequently, I've got no fresh pics of today's carry, but found these in my files from early May after we'd just returned home from a Vermont stay--don't think I've used these before.

Aside from the weather, it's a good day here as it's my lovely wife's birthday. Our middle son is here for the weekend from RI and our oldest will come by soon from his home in the next town and we'll all sit down for a steak dinner and a celebratory cake. :D 🎂
