Para 3 Maxamet just arrived and it’s been years since I had another one. What a great knife dead centered blade , drop free and no blade play. This is a really nice example now all I have to do is make it mine

Back in the wood shop again today, but not working on chainsaws. Instead I was doing quite a bit of milling to assemble two variations of standoffs for mounting a deck awning on a house I built some 21 years back. There are three different horizontal trim planes to work around and the awning housing has to clear the capitals on the two intervening trim pilasters. It's a bit of a head scratcher and a lot of work for six pieces of built up wood.
