EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

My daughter and I went for a bike ride outside the city limits.

When we returned, we found a fragment of the USSR near the house. :)

EDIT: The jerky and cheese must've attracted some attention. When we got up from the log after our break we walked a few yards and were greeted by a nice sized bear just a few feet off the trail. So stealthy that we thought it was a chipmunk or something small until we looked up. Luckily we were on our way out of that spot anyway so we just picked up the pace a bit and it didn't follow.

Didn't feel like cooking so we grabbed a local favorite of ours. Swapped to Victorinox carry for the evening

Beautiful Olamic!👍🏻

Thank you Sir! It's a pleasure to carry.

After yesterday's WC Les George Eagle carry I figured I'd stay in that same section of the USA-made drawer that houses a knife each by some noted American makers. Today I went with the Southard Tolk from Brad's Performance Series which features knives with much of their milling outsourced while fitting and finishing is done in Brad's own shop. Along with a couple others kept nearby in my accumulation, this sort of production allows one to have a quality knife from a top custom maker at a more affordable price.

As much as I like this one and am glad to have it, I gotta say that it has the most useless thumb studs of any knife I've ever handled. With its stiff detent, which does yield a very snappy flip, I have trouble even opening the Tolk two-handed. Still, this one's not going anywhere....
