Yes, as long as it can still be closed one-handed. I have a bunch that can, but a few that cannot. To me it makes a big difference in its usability … depending of course on what I’m cutting into at the time.

Packing up the last few things here, and then I'm off to the mountain for a week. Hopefully the weather will be dry and a decent temperature. The weather reports vary quite a bit, some looking a little scary, some looking good. I'm going to pray to Mother Nature that she'll hold the rain off for a week.

It does slow things down. Slows things down even in the north. Equipment and bodies are not fully designed for it. I still enjoy winter though. I remember those days living and working down south.

For sure. I have noticed the older I get the more I feel winter. Now don’t get me wrong working outside in the southern summer can be brutal at times. Those days when you’re already sweating by 6am, drenched by 7

Yeah, chisel grind.
This one though, I may consider it more of a faux-chisel as the flat side is really more of a full flat grind with actual secondary bevel.

I grew up in Northwest Florida so I understand what you are saying. Even tougher on a person that sweats just thinking about hot weather
