EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Here's my anecdotal experience... for pure slicing edge retention both 15V and Maxamet are pretty crazy good. S110V does very well also, though Maxamet and 15V are definitely top tier for me.

My favorite of the three is definitely 15V, edges behave quite well and the sharpening experience is so good. Works surprisingly quickly on diamond stones, deburrs easily, and comes up silly sharp. Maxamet and S110V will also get very sharp but they require more skill and effort.
Very nice. I’m partial to stainless steels so S110V and S90V have been pretty great from my experience. But I’m definitely curious about the steels in your pic.

If you can find a 15V Spydie for a fair price it's well worth a try in my opinion. Maxamet is interesting but it's not as nice to live with, to me. But you can buy a Maxamet knife whenever you want.

A Seki City Spydie in K390 is an excellent option for a high wear resistance tool steel knife, and a lot less money than a 15V or Maxamet knife. I'd argue that it's right up there as one of the best high wear resistance tool steels you can get in a pocket knife.

I like my stainless too and have used S110V a lot. It gets a bad rap for being a pain to sharpen but I have never had a problem. Been carrying Sebenzas most of the time this year but maybe this is my sign to get an S110V knife back in the rotation.

Stupid question....what is That?
I think it's what people born in the late 1900's call a "cell phone." Many of these old timers fondly talk about playing with some sort of "snake" that lived inside of it. Despite their odd claims and superstitions, I think we still have much to learn from these ancient members of society.

Haha.....back in my day....... One girl in high school had a car phone.
Her dad was Rich, and she drove a convertible.....

*I was actually referring the the knife.....
Spyderco has so many variations. I don't have one, yet, but plan to someday. A few speak to me. This does.

This is a great picture! I know the blade but tell me more about how you like it. Didn’t you just get it not long ago?
Got it a couple weeks ago. 7.5" oal is the absolute shortest folder I find acceptable. It does feel a bit bigger in-hand, fortunately.
I love simplicity done extremely well, so this model was a major want since I first saw one.
T20 pivot is a unique look without being flashy, and the beautifully machined hourglass standoffs complement the aesthetic.
It's a solid feeling chunk of a knife. The middle finger flick is so satisfying in feel and sound. The studs are large and not uncomfortable- plenty of purchase with no jagged edges.
Smooth, but definitely needing further break-in. I actually just ordered some Skiffs for it to see if it makes a difference. The stock bearings are nylon caged.
