Today's carry, inspired by this morning's view

Regular hiking season is nearing an end, but today we headed up to our local peak with a fire lookout just 5min from the house. When we left the pad Mt. Rainier was out, but by the time we got to the peak it was shrouded in clouds. Still a nice view though, and beats the hell out of not being in the woods

Well thanks, friend. If you're referring to your CruCarta version of the Paramilitary 2, I don't disagree that mine is a real favorite as well. It's worth noting, though, that the knife in the post you quoted is a Military 2--also a great favorite of mine, though I'm still way into the 3 traditional Miliies I have in my accumulation. I did have both CruCartas out today while spending almost all of it on b-ball admin....

Haven’t carried this Shaman in a while. Think this is the only serrated folder I have left because I can’t sharpen them when they get dull. But I’ll never get rid of a Shaman! In my opinion Spydeco’s best heavy duty folder.

I'm not much for serrations myself--I've still got maybe a couple combo bladed folders left. They can come in handy for certain things, but they rarely end up in my pocket. As for putting an edge on 'em, the angled sides of Sharpmaker rods provide an easy and effective means to accomplish that task.
