Hey my friend. Sorry, I somehow didn't see the notification that you had commented on my picture and am super behind in scrolling through this thread. It's my morning routine before work and I've made it up to page 7026 so far after taking much of last week off because I was on vacation. What is the weight of the splitting maul?
Morning my friend. I understand getting behind in the thread when the routine is off. I too used a splitting maul in my younger life. Fuuny thing, when I moved out a new hydraulic splitter appeared. The only variety of tree that was difficult to split with the maul was sweet gum. It's grain twisted and turned but it made a hot fire.Hey my friend. I honestly don't have the foggiest idea of the weight of the splitting maul head. All I know is that is the maul that I grew up with and used my whole younger life. I've split a lot of wood with that thing. It's always worked quite well for me. Been through a few hafts/handles on it, but the thing has always done the job.
