Yeah, I found that out as well. The fixed blade version uses different blades from the folding version. A mistake on their part, I think. Good little knives that have a blade that will take more abuse than a razor blade type utility knife. I like your idea of using it as your loaner knife!Mornin guys! This Cold Steel Click-N-Cut is a cool little piece of kit. The blades pop out without having to take anything apart and it's way smoother than you would think. My plan is for this one to be the one that I hand over when someone asks for a knife, as well as one that will take some abuse when I don't want to use one of my nicer knives. The steel is 420J2, so nothing special, however I'm going to sharpen the blades instead of just using them as disposables as they're designed.

Edit:
Although I just found out that I bought the wrong replacement blades. These Wharncliffe blades don't fit it. The drop point in the bottom picture is the correct blade and it pops in without taking the pivot out. The pivot needs to come out on the others, and they still won't fit after I just tried taking the pivot out and doing it that way. Something to be aware of.

Looks like it could be fun if your a winter sports enthusiast or a pain if your an old guy like me. Have to ask where was this taken as I don’t want to consider this area as my final home.First proper snow for the year...
