I like the shield. It's got my birth year.

Most I heard reviewers mentioned the blades are the same on this Muskrat pattern so when one gets dull you get another that is exact same blade and can keep on cutting.

Same clip point blades, but one is angled more downward and you get more of a pistol grip. With more negative angle, it makes for way different cutting experience.
You pick which one you feel like going with for a particular task and grip you want to use.
Really happy with this pickup. I read it's 440A hardened to 59 HRC, I likey.

...which was supplanted today by my PJ work user SHF as I finally found some time to put in a little work on a small home project that's been lingering. I managed a couple pics of that one in the shop after losing the light for the day.

Hey ChazzyP. I always enjoy your EDC pics. You post some very knives. Question on that PJ SHF. Did you have the thumb relief for the lock bar milled out?

And it's Friday!

By the way A.L. A.L. , I think you're right, being introduced to the Triad lock has really opened my eyes up to how awesome it is! I like how they use it on all sorts of their knives too, all the way down to some of their less expensive knives.

Had Tuff Lite at work today. I bought my second Tuff Lite as backup in case CS decides to ”upgrade” the knife in the future. I could not heart to just keep this in the drawer so I put it to use and use my two year work version at home for a change. Best work knife I’ve ever owned!

Hey cutchu. Thanks for the kind words on my pics and knives. Your question got all four of my SHFs out to check--I must like that model. eh?, coz one doesn't really need so many. They all seem quite the same in that regard and, no, I didn't have anything milled out on the PJ--the thumb relief and lock bar cut out is dimensionally the same on all four knives. What I do notice is, alone among the four knives, the PJ's thumb reliefs are brightly polished which makes them stand out against the rest of the knife which is overall very coarsely stonewashed. I do like both the look and feel of the PJ's finish, which is smooth to the touch despite its heavy stone and metallic washed surface. Oh look, another pic... ;)

Haven’t been around much lately due to a home renovation that is now running close to five months behind schedule and has seen us move 6 times since May.

Anyway, that’s a story for another day; but the result of all those moves is that the majority of my knives have been in storage for the past 5 months….so my carry options have been limited.

Today’s carry happens to be a new arrival. I wasn’t familiar with the work of French knife-maker Stephane Sagric, but when I stumbled upon this “Ghost” model I couldn’t stop looking at it.

Gotta be honest, in this case I’m actually happy that I have the self-restraint and willpower of a 6-year old. I’ve already started stashing away funds for another one.
