It's a really great set up. I reached out to gritomatoc and told them I thought the base wasn't heavy enough. They sent me another base with instructions to put them together and double up the weight. Free of charge, great customer service indeed. I've used many different stones and kept going back to the shapton glass. Pretty much have every grit up to the 16k. That's just polish but fun to do.

Monday blues again...grabbed the Dynamic Knife Designs "Phantom" swing-guard paired up with a Schatt & Morgan whittler and TWISBI "ECO" fountain pen for my hump-night shift...number 4 of 7 underway

Cold Steel Code 4

I Just ordered that exact knife about an hour ago ! Same spear blade and all.
I have a Recon 1 and an American Lawman so I kept talking my self out of the Code 4 and taking it out of my cart over and over. Till tonight.
My wallet lost the battle.
Kind of makes sense to have because it is in between the other two in various ways.
My biggest reservation is the slick aluminum handle. Not even grit blasted like Ti or textured like a green aluminum 940, so I have read.

What do you say ?
Ever drop yours ?

I think I am going to like it though.

Great looking knife and very cool pics!

Those old railway tunnels are fascinating.
Came acros this one last year in Waldböckelheim Germany.

That is not an hour away from me and that area is very much in my motorcycle ride range
