I did, yes! I've been the same as you, always wishing I would have bought a Ti UKPK, and mulled it over for years. I don't even remember when those were available. But yeah, Blade HQ had a sale on the UKPK Salts in Magnacut, and then I bought the Ti scales from Heinnie Haynes. Went together relatively smoothly. The action was a tiny bit better with the stock scales, however I haven't given it the full action optimization yet by experimenting with torquing the body screws a bit less and Loctiting them there.Did you blade swap a Magnacut into Titanium??? I always regretted not buying a Ti UKPK
To you too.Happy new year my friends in knife! I hope it's a great year for you all, much better than the last, full of healing, passion, and positivity. May the sun be on your shoulders and the wind at your back.

Hey hey! I think you'll like it. Mine's new to me, I just got it like a week ago. I'd been doing the same thing with it for years, planning on buying one and then not going through with it. There have been some good sales on Cold Steels recently though so I had to finally pull the trigger. It's not that incredibly slick, I just handled it in one hand and a bead blasted titanium knife in the other hand and they feel about the same. I believe that the Code 4 is actually media blasted before anodizing. It looks like they used a finer media, something like what CRK uses for their glass blasting, but it has a bit of texture. I'm one who generally doesn't like an aggressive scale surface though because of the amount of jeans that I've destroyed the pockets on over the years. The handle locks your hand into it pretty good, and you can use the ricasso of the blade, just passed the end of the front of the scales, as a finger choil for real detailed work. I'm very impressed with how smooth it is though, and it's gotten smoother in the past couple days just from playing with it. I haven't dropped it. I think you'll like it!I Just ordered that exact knife about an hour ago ! Same spear blade and all.
I have a Recon 1 and an American Lawman so I kept talking my self out of the Code 4 and taking it out of my cart over and over. Till tonight.
My wallet lost the battle.
Kind of makes sense to have because it is in between the other two in various ways.
My biggest reservation is the slick aluminum handle. Not even grit blasted like Ti or textured like a green aluminum 940, so I have read.
What do you say ?
Ever drop yours ?
I think I am going to like it though.![]()
