EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

A few threads on different forums got me to thinking about my first EDC knife that was "expensive" or at least, a cut above the cheapo knives of my youth. I dug around in the safe and found the CQC7 I bought new back in about 1998 and used for work for quite a while. I bought a replacement for it many years later (in case I ever lost it) but which I never used much. Of note... the original is about 1/8" shorter and about 1/16" narrower from 3 trips to Benchmade over a few decades to have the chisel gring re-chiseled. The angle of the tip is much steeper now as well. The last time they said "this is the last time, we can't remove any more material". The G10, clip and screws were upgraded by Benchmade during service on the original as compared to the unused one - on the back side they basically just screw into the G10 on the newer one. Anyhow, kinda cool, to me at least. If you zoom in close, you can barely make out the Butterfly on one side and Spec War logo on the other.

Coming back up for air after two days of hosting youth basketball playoff games, I carried my AB iMamba over the weekend, then switched to my old school Hati on washers today to cut down a glut of boxes to turn into a bit of household heat. We got about an inch of snow last night which is gone now most anywhere today's occasional sunshine could get to it.

Good on you sir. Love seeing members actually use their nice knives.

Only get one life, use them knives brothers!

Please tell me I’m not the only one that gets tired of putting decorations up and down all damn year!? I love my wife to death but she decorates the house for literally every single holiday! She looked at me like I had 3 heads when I took this pic 🤣

Thanks for that. Out of the way-too-many knives I've accumulated there's only maybe three drawer queens--a pimped ZT, a black-bladed AFCK, and a pre-Idaho Bocote Sebenza. All the rest get carried and used, even some of the priciest used hard, with others a bit more lightly in a non-work, EDC mode. That's what they're for, though--cuttin' stuff. 😁

She's sharp that's for sure. Didn't realize the edge was cutting into the leather glove just from resting on it!

Yes I see from time to time comments from back in the day about " wearing a leather jacket " as if that were protection against a knife attack or a leather apron for protection grinding knives etc. ,
A sharp knife has very little trouble cutting leather !
