WE WElcomed some WEirdly warm WEather into southWEst FL this WEekend, so I figured I’d go for broke and put the WE in WEekend by WEilding the WE Swordfin (designed by Thys Meades) into play for a South African (designed) Swordfin Sunday.

Yeah, I know….that was an embarrassingly awkward attempt to take themed alliteration to the next level. No worries, I got a real doozy lined up for Monday.

Directly from my example:

Weight = 5.8oz
Overall length = 8.5"
Full blade length = 4.675"
Cutting edge = 3.5"
Blade steel = Vanax
Blade stock thickness at the spine = 2mm, <1/8"
Handle/Frame thickness = 11mm at the thickest - (Contoured)

I replaced the timascus PC with the DLC unit in the last photo.

Just using this, might not "carry" it right now. This WTG Lynx has recently been my favourite. It is large enough for work, but can be carried in deep pants pocket or jacket pocket, or on belt with detachable dangler with the rig I made. It had, when I got it, a couple of issues. The edge was not as sharp as I wanted, so I corrected it and after that I have not found anything to criticize with the blade. The handle is minimal, which also reduces it's bulk while carrying. I took some micro cord and epoxy and made a wrap, this gave me a better grip without making the handle much thicker. Warm recommendation, this is an excellent tool. The sheath might be the best factory kydex sheath, counting out custom sheaths, that I have seen so far. The knife locks in two places, but is easy to draw pushing with the thumb and has zero rattle.
