EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

The pipe you mean?
Like all of my pipes, it's a careful user.
It had already been smoked, albeit lightly.
With some mindfulness and care they can be smoked regularly and enjoyed for a lifetime.
Good! That's the answer i was hoping for, answering a question i didn't posit. 'Passing it on' when exiting this world, thinking it would have to go on the shelf of all three categories, after you. Not necessarily. I got other questions, out of curiosity only. Not a pipe forumn. Next post.

Thanks for taking a minute

Thought I'd share my letter opener that I use all the time, and that works amazingly well. I always figured that a sharp knife would be best, and that's what I always used to use, but turns out that our ancestors really knew what they were doing with these long dull-edged letter openers. It tears the envelope right across the top just perfectly everytime. And it has this handy slipjoint spearpoint folding blade on the end for other tasks👌

These 2 kiss'n cousins (TRM vs. North Arm) really feel the same in-hand...lots of small differences, but they sure stack up well together!

Are the handles the same thickness (about)? I always thought that the scales on the Skaha 2 looked much thicker, almost Shaman-like (which I also actually haven't handled). Nice pair!

With gold just under $3000 an ounce, I’m pretty sure this is your go to meeting blade. Oh wait it’s Sunday I can’t get anything right these days🥺
Meeting blade, like a blade that I'd take to business meetings? I'm a simple man, I might go to a very short business meeting once a year. It'd be much less if I had my say. 😅 My mind is burnt out too my friend, I hope the hip and everything is going better for ya!

Your hunch is spot on!

North Arm is 13mm in width
SpyderCo Shaman is 13mm in width

TRM is 9mm in width.

But even with this sizeable difference they feel remarkably similar

I told M., my mom had two titanium hips, and my dad titanium knees. And you know about my puppy. It basically went well for all 3 of them, feeling already better the day after surgery. They basically got full function back 3 months after (except, my dad stopped skiing - rotating the knees was not the same as before). Just saying, C., and fingers crossed for you.

Very happy you are healing well, M.

PS: I don't even play a doctor on TV, just trying to be encouraging.
My grandpa had both knees done and walked without assistance till nearly the end of his life almost 20 years later at 92. And he worked the farm for most of those years!

Love this combination! I can't say that they feel similar to me (the Skaha has that fat radiused grip and the Atom is so slim), but they're both smooth as glass, made by some great folks, have superb ergos, and cut like lasers. Love the scales on that Atom!

Skaha II is still my benchmark for flipper action. Even my Herman and Holt can't beat it.

Good point(s)! I agree, the North Arm Skaha II has out of this world deployment and closing action.
