So....here's where I'm at with the name of the knife that I've been posting almost every day for the last week and a half, since it arrived after purchasing it here....
My seller didn't have a name for it so I searched back on the Exchange as I remembered seeing it there some years earlier and found my seller's seller who had two Cheburkovs listed--the Bars (leopard) and the Snach. Searching back from that May, '22 listing, I found a Jan, '22 listing with those two with the knife names both in quotes along with a third, the "Scaut", which were put up for sale at that time by a Moscow collector.
There's no English word, "snach", I've already read posts by our friends

who expressed their desire for a knife called "the snatch" over at the Cheburkov Channel, and, not wanting to elicit a flood of Whine and Cheeziness whenever I post this knife, I figured I could possibly deduce/discover the knife's actual name, or at least something better. With Russian knives we sometimes see them named on this side of the pond using letter equivalents between the two alphabets instead of translation to get to a similar pronunciation. Fooling around with Google Translate, plugging Snach into the Russian side comes up with снах. Using letter equivalence, that shows up below as snakh (or snax, elsewhere), using western characters and is, I guess, an approximation of what we on this side of the pond would pronounce as snach. I think that's what the Jan '22 Russian seller had in mind. снах translates as "dream". I like that much better.
Short of me writing to Alexandr and Marina at Masterskaya Cheburkova, which I haven't done for some time, maybe B Bacchus or M maxjeg could help out a little here. In the meantime, here's a few more pics of my Cheburkov Dream, which I carried again today while taking a trip up-Cape, later running a few local errands paying bills and buying supplies, and putting in just a little work on our bathroom project.
