Case Min i Trapper , Carbon Steel blades , exclusive Black Synthetic version from Shepherd Hills Cutlery .
Modded :
I put on the sides of the scales cutout shapes that just leave a little boarder of the handle showing all around from :
black Talon DIY Material Grip Sheet - 5"x7" Adhesive Grip - " Rubber " ( texture pattern type )
the texture is kind of a random splatter bumpyness. The other pattern is called Granite but I find the less aggressive "Rubber" texture is just right .
I first did this to the same version of a full size Case Trapper ; Spay blade removed (will remove the Spay from the Mini today ) .
I figured the big guy needed a side kick .
What I learned was : to not try to cover the whole side of the scale including the edges . Best to let the edges of the scales "frame" the applied panel = feels better / looks better .
Full size Trapper goes in belt pouch ; Mini goes in bottom of pocket in a slip (keeps it cleaner / less lint )
PS : can see pattern by searching : Talon Grip images then look at the splatter looking pattern.
PPS : put my favorite blue patina on the blade using Golden Kiwi mush from scrapings from inner side of skin .
