I don't think we were trying to offend. It was more about durability in the long run. I actually put a waterproof floor in the room my dogs go in because of its non scratching ability.

On stairs, I can see your point. Laminate can be slick and those edges look like trip hazards.

Today it was my Mini Grip. I really like this knife. Maybe my favorite blade. I like the blade shape and thumb hole.

Yes. There are so many different variations of it also. I do not like the lip over bullnose. We have to glue the crap out of them and still use 18 guage nails. The glue by far holds them when they dry. Some of the matetial has a paper thin wear layer that tears when we cut them. It can be challenging to say tge least.

It was a Wilkins Wednesday with one of my four (out six) Grips with Kevin's scales, this one a 550 with natural G11's, anodized butt spacer, and deep-carry clip.





I was pleased to find this example on the Exchange some years back as it's the older version with the 154CM, hollow-ground blade. I had originally added a set of flame anodized Ti Wilkins scales, but found these on closeout at Kevin's site, swapped them out, and sold the other set to DocJekl who had expressed interest in them. He's threatened a couple times to install them on one of his knives, but I've yet to see that posted.

No, Dunhill has a white dot. This pipe is made by local craftsman Kirill Zuev.
