So yesterday I finally got around to starting on the doors for the open shelf unit that I'm converting to a closed cabinet in our main floor bathroom. I ripped the stiles and rails out of a nice piece of 1x10 pine I had stashed in the overhead and made the initial ploughs for the flat panels that are also part of the corner joins.



Here's the test pieces for those joins I made for the vanity doors that I built earlier and are now finished and installed...



...and a more revealing pic of how they fit together.



Today I cut the rails to length and cut the tenons to length and thickness. I'll still have to shoulder them to fit into the deeper structural mortises that I cut into the side rails. The rails will run long until the doors are glued up with the panels inserted when I'll finish trim them, then cutting the overlay rabbets before sanding and finishing.

I just want to clarify this post of mine above.

This is the EDC thread. It’s meant to show your EDC carry for the day. If a post has an EDC plus a few other photos of your interests/adventures…no biggie, it’s fun and interesting.

Side trails of photo posts that have zero EDC knife content are what I was referring to.

I like a little banter here and there, but it is the EDC photo thread and not all members would like to look through a bunch of side chats and unrelated picture posts.

I remember when any side chat was reported and deleted, so I think we have it good right now and would like to see the goodness continue.
