That's a great pic of a knife I know you like a lot, my friend, with those old, hand-hewn timbers. That looks like the end of an old corner post--maybe Douglas fir?

These are pretty big timbers. Love that you knew they were hand-hewn. One is going to be a bench and the other will be a coffee table.

One is pine, and the other is Douglas fir.

They are specs of rubber. They add just the perfect amount of tackiness, but it's not overly grippy like a lot of rubber handled knives.

I don't mind N690 one bit.......Knife is made in Italy and they have this steel down pat over.in Maniago so no worries.........It pointy n slim.....Perfect for ribs....of all sorts..... From well done to still yappin' I mean Mooing....
