Thank goodness I really don't care what steel a knife is as.long as its not that alphabet soup steel from you know..........Although I'm impressed with the edge magnacut takes........

Yeah, I hear ya. The longer I've been into knives, the less I seem to care about the steel choice of a knife that I really like everything else about. Unless I have a special use case, pretty much all decent modern steels seem to work pretty dang good for me.
