EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I finally tried the Fluorite from HX Outdoors. These guys are all over social media. The main thing I like here is that they are combining budget steels with titanium scales. That's something TwoSun has been doing for years but these guys are really pushing it to the far end of the budget spectrum. This is Chinese D2 and titanium for like $30 and grading on that curve, it's pretty good. The other thing I like is that the milled pattern looks like what I thought technology should look like as a kid watching cartoons made before 1990.

I missed posting yesterday, or even getting any pics, as we drove west one state--certainly can't go east from here--to visit the youngest of our grown sons in the hospital. He's been in and out the last couple weeks with a mysterious condition in his legs. He was in good spirits, though annoyed at his predicament and his obnoxious roommate, but by end of day it seems he finally has a diagnosis which should result in successful, medicinal treatment and reversal.

I almost always still carry when headed into an urban environment, though I'm cautious with my selection. Sometimes it could be a slip joint in a slip in pocket or, as was yesterday's choice, it's a modern folder of modest value clipped in pocket which hid nicely under my shirttail. Wanting to keep up my run of Spydie carry I dropped down one drawer and grabbed one of my several Tenacious which is a pattern that's always filled a soft spot in my knife appreciation, one of those being my first of now many of that maker's pieces.

File pics from some years back....

Hope your young bloke heals up quick.
Mitch, that A.Wright lamb is so sweet. Love the equal end caps!
Thanks Dave 😎

It seems I was a bit fuzzy-brained this morning after yesterday's two 90-mile drives and spending the afternoon in the hospital visiting my son, who should now, thankfully be recovering from his mysterious lower leg affliction. We also had a five hour power outage here over the wee hours last night that led to some confusion when lightly awaking at night to pitch darkness with the BR clock blacked out and then wrong this morning as we arose.

I had planned to exhaust all the Spydies in the top of that storage box for my run of those knives before moving down to the drawer below, but had grabbed the Tenacious from the lower to have a more modest piece in pocket for our urban excursion. When putting that knife away I spotted my 3 KC exclusive HAP40/SUS410 beauties and figured I'd just grab one for a Wooden Wednesday. It took me more than a few hours to come to the realization that it was indeed a day earlier--after taking these pics, actually--so Wooden Tuesday it is, then. I do have a Spydie in a third location that would qualify for Titanium Tomorrow.

Thanks for your kind thoughts and hope for my son, Mitch. It's flattering for him to be thought of as a young bloke as it makes me seem less ancient, but my sons are all what some call early middle age at 36-43. They certainly are young compared to their old man who still thinks of them as "my boys," though all three are good men indeed.
I've walked into the hospital 3 different times today, with this in my pocket.

Straight through the metal detector and nothing. 🤔

It's only Tuesday, we'll see what happens tomorrow when I come back. 😉
The hospital we visited in RI yesterday didn't have any screening and was pleasantly relaxed. Visiting hours end at 1pm and resume at 4pm. We got our visitors' badges just before 1 and left at 4. Pretty chill.

I've never had an issue at our two local hospitals nor those up in Boston where I've been seen or admitted. I carry, but discreetly. Locally, for admissions, they make a point about "no weapons including knives." I just but a blade in my shaving/travel kit.

That might be the handsomest looking Spidey I’ve ever seen.
Hope your son is doing better. Oh, and a belated welcome to RI!

Lovely lineup! I’ll join you in Titanium Tomorrow today:View attachment 2977957
Thanks, Dave, but that's a lineup of one--just the Endura--though I did mention three in my post. I'm saving the matching Delica and Police to help stretch out my Spydathon, unless I fall off the wagon and one of my too many other knives jumps into my pocket
