Thanks on the blade, Danny, and for the good wishes. The docs got to their diagnosis by process of elimination and fortunately a lot to bad stuff was ruled out. Hopefully the prescribed meds will do the trick and he may just need some supplements and a few changes to keep ahead of things going forward.

We just spent a short day in RI, but my son and GF love it. K got his degrees there and they've settled into Little Rhody after a bit of back and forth between there and the Cape where they grew up.

It seems I was a bit fuzzy-brained this morning after yesterday's two 90-mile drives and spending the afternoon in the hospital visiting my son, who should now, thankfully be recovering from his mysterious lower leg affliction. We also had a five hour power outage here over the wee hours last night that led to some confusion when lightly awaking at night to pitch darkness with the BR clock blacked out and then wrong this morning as we arose.

I had planned to exhaust all the Spydies in the top of that storage box for my run of those knives before moving down to the drawer below, but had grabbed the Tenacious from the lower to have a more modest piece in pocket for our urban excursion. When putting that knife away I spotted my 3 KC exclusive HAP40/SUS410 beauties and figured I'd just grab one for a Wooden Wednesday. It took me more than a few hours to come to the realization that it was indeed a day earlier--after taking these pics, actually--so Wooden Tuesday it is, then. I do have a Spydie in a third location that would qualify for Titanium Tomorrow.

I didn't realize that Spy-tember was a thing but I have only been carrying my Spyderco knives for the past few weeks.

I have my Cru-carta Para 3 with custom scales for the week so far.

Thanks, Jonny. Those scales are stock on a Knifecenter exclusive Pakkawood Endura with a HAP40/SUS410 laminated blade. I also have a Delica and and a Police with the same steel and scales. There was also an Endela and, I believe, a Dragonfly similarly outfitted. I recall that abbazaba , who first turned me on to these exclusives, had a nice pic here with five of them and would have a better handle on what was available. I think all those I mentioned sold out their runs and are now discontinued. Knifecenter is currently offering only a Ladybug in that configuration.

Pakkawood is a laminated material and, I believe, is a sort of mahogany-oid wood--not true mahogany but something along the lines of lauan. Frankly, the wood was sort disappointing out of the box--kind of dry to the touch and lacking in deep coloration--but it took only a day or so of handling for it to pick up oils from my hands for the scales to pick up an increasingly rich luster. I kinda wish I'd picked up an Endela.

Only took about a year of searching but I finally got my hands on a light user Benchmade Anthem for a decent price. Well worth the hype %

Same! I’m juggling mine as fast as I can. Most of y’all have Spydie collections way beyond my humble 10. That UK Pen is my only titanium so y’all will see it for at least two more Titanium Tomorrows
