Absolutely love this knife. It's a Shark Bite 2.5 Necker in MagnaCut and Grip-Tec/GripX. Extremely versatile with the serrated hawkbill on the back. David Mary was an absolute pleasure to do business with.

Today I visited Aptekarsky Island.

It's home to the Imperial Institute of Experimental Medicine, founded by Prince Alexander of Oldenburg.
It has a magnificent medical library.

The buildings of the first biological and chemical laboratories have been preserved.

In the garden, there's a monument to the dogs who died during experiments to treat rabies, plague, and other diseases.

An evening smoke break.

Thank you - I’ve never seen that. Internet says it’s a 1986-87 design. Now I know where G&G Hawk got their inspiration for the Buck 830 Marksman. They just put a slit in the lockbar to let a flipper tab poke through, and put it on bearings. Sweet!
