Candidly, it's fantastic. Stupid, ridiculous, but fantastic. The ergonomics on this model have always been great, and this one is right in line with that. I had one years back, but ended up giving it to a friend who had wanted one badly but couldn't really afford it at the time. I was really glad to see these on offer again, much less in CTS-XHP!!!! I picked this one up last week during the Big River's Prime Day at a small discount. Gotta say, for as large as it is, everything is perfectly done. The blade grind is even and it's standard Cold Steel atom-splitting sharp out of the box. Smooth opening, on washers I believe, and I'm gonna say it (and I hate to say it) but GSM hasn't been bad for the Cold Steel brand, and this is me saying this. I recall buying old Cold Steels where you were in for a break-in period with all their Triad locking knives. This one? Already butter smooth, and it's not a fluke. I've purchased something like eight or nine current "GSM era" knives and they're all smooth. It's pretty great, honestly.

This thing is big, dumb, fun, and sharp. It's the embodiment of General Mattis' old quote, carry a knife, just in case there's cake*. I'd definitely be able to sort out a cake with this guy, so if you like a knife this size, getcha one. :thumbsup:

ETA: It carries unobtrusively, nice and flat. I'm at the office today, and people would probably lose their mind if they knew I had this giant thing in my pocket. 🤣 🤣 🤣
