EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

How you liking the REX?
The drop of the REX45 really messed up my new DLC M4 CF PM2 plan to be my main carry last summer. Initial impressions were very good, and I found it in my pocket more than any other. Fast forward to this year and I really can't say which one I prefer over the other... M4 is still my benchmark, and while REX45 didn't blow me away like K390, it's a pleasure to use and sharpen - at least as good as M4 for my tastes.

But in all seriousness, what is the delay on more of that magical Spyderco K390? :D Pretty sure it's been two years since the P4 dropped.

Sal said they're doing a LW version of the Police 4 in different color/steel combos, one of which will be K390. I wish they'd use K390 in other models.

Back in the shop today, after picking up some stock and taking a few measurements at the job site, I laid out and cut parts for the pilasters on the new entry. After receiving the wrong fluted parts for the second time I decided to assemble them myself using the material from the second shipment and cutting plinths and capitals from some 5/4 x 6 stock. I really don't like working with PVC trim, but it's in the job spec so I tried out White Hot 1 part adhesive which seemed to join the pieces strongly and cleanly.

My CRK large 21 Insingo with Micarta inlays is just a great work knife. :D

Nice. M4 and Cruwear have been my go to’s for the last 3 years, especially M4 lately. I’ve got Rex in my carry rotation but haven’t used it much...trying to get a backup before I do. And yes to many more things in K390 (and then CPM 125V).

This Shaman just might be my most favorite knife to date . The contoured g10 scales feel like they were made for my hand . The compression lock feels beefier then any other Spydie I’ve owned . The clicks when it locks up is so solid and sounds amazing . I’m starting to feel like this knife is the Rolex of all Spydercos . My only beef is the g10 is a little slick but once you get your hand around it it’s planted and not going anywhere . Really loving this knife and will definitely be getting the next sprint runs . Might even pick up the blacked out version but going to try and hold out for the sprint and exclusives
This little Case xx cv Barlow is a real sweetie to .With this combo in my pockets I feel like I’m in blade heaven :)

Whatup S! If you like your M4 stuff, try giving that REX a nice polished edge, like all the way down to 0.25 micron diamond lapping paste if possible (at least 0.5), and behold how crazy sharp & slicey it gets, even at the factory set bevel. Take it down to 17-16 dps, then polish, and it will literally feather a hair.
