Buck Vantage Force. I've wanted one for a long time, but kept putting it off. Something about the combination of razorblade steel, GFN color, price?, and exclusivity finally put me over this week. Smokey has this one.

Got back to the states late last night and I really should be unpacking. That said, football is on and……I really missed my knives. Granted, I’m only carrying 2 of them today but I had to get a couple handfuls out to decide which ones.

I really like this Kershaw OTF better than the many Microtechs I’ve had come through my collection. It’s my only OTF I’ve kept around.

Today's carry is the Spyderco Native 5 with Fluted carbon fiber handle scales and CPM S90V blade steel. This little knife cuts like a Lazer beam!

We're more or less back on track here, though behind on things after a power outage dragged on for most of Saturday's daylight hours. We'd had a couple days of strong winds on Cape and there were lots of outages confined to small areas from tree limbs on power lines and such. Ours was confined to the 11 houses on our dead end road, and we spent time getting our little generator started (ignored too long), running cords for the fridge, freezer, chargers, and a couple lights, then reversing that process when the juice came back on late afternoon. We also spent time getting our wood-burning masonry mass heater going (uncovering the recessed door, emptying the firebox, checking the clean-out and flue, and bringing in wood) for the first time this season in case the power stayed off overnight.

Anyway, I wondered how long it would take me to pocket another Spyderco after my 29 consecutive day run of carrying a different one of those ended the first week of last month, but the CruCarta M2 caught my eye and was with me all day yesterday.

Bought The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall out of curiosity to see why all the Freemasons and secret societies have been so interested in it for so long. It was written in 1928 and explores all matters of esoteric knowledge from around the world as well as what we think of as the occult. I'm not for or against it, I'm just curious out of the pursuit of knowledge and see what kind of stuff some of these highly influential groups may believe and how it may or may not affect their decisions. Definitely interesting stuff.
