When I was a teen, back in the mid-1960s, our favorite local drive-in, (like in Happy Days, with car hops, and everything), got shut down for serving horse meat burgers. They were there for years, and were part of the 50s & 60s culture. The place was always packed on weekends. The burgers were 15 cents, and delicious. Nobody cared about the horse meat. We just wanted the place open again, but it ended up as a used car lot.

We had some moose meat for supper last night. Our neighbor brought it back from hunting a trip to Alaska a few months ago. It tasted like deer......but different. I suppose an Alaskan moose diet is a little bit different than a PA whitetail. :)
