EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

This may be a little grotesque for some, but yesterday I had my first baby boy and they let me cut the umbilical cord with my knife. Needless to say the hollow grind on the Yojumbo sliced it nice and clean. This knife will now permanently stay in the collection until he is old enough to have it for himself View attachment 3023053
Well congratulations to you and the wife!

I'm still really busy prepping for our upcoming b-ball season while trying hard to actually have a life and take care of everything here at home. I've found it a lot easier lately to break with my usual pattern of changing out every day and just pick up yesterday's carry again off the nightstand and put it back in my pocket. For the last few it's been my Brad Southard Tolk, a knife I like a lot but one that tends to get lost in my overly large accumulation and spends way too much time in the drawer.

I really like the blade shape and grind on this one, and CTS-XHP is a favored steel. While the blade stock is stout and the grind doesn't seem particularly thin behind the edge by touch, this is one slicey knife with a lot of cutting edge and a great point.

Awesome! Congratulations on your new addition to the family!

The reason I asked, this is the prototype 5, not sure if it's hit the market yet.

Yours appears to be a little different.

I do not own a knife from this maker yet. They look pretty nice.

I am curious though, it seems that the backspacer / lanyard hole might cause hot spots because of how much it sticks out and looks pretty thin judging from the top view in your pic.
