I got it brand new. First time cleaning, it spun around on me unintentionally. I couldn't believe it. Live and learn.

I did something very similar with my Kimber 1911. I got a takedown tool afterwards. Now I spend 20 minutes on YouTube getting a refresher course any time I do any significant cleaning

Thanks! I went looking for The Sea-Wolf at a little used book store in town and found this edition that was printed during the Second World War. I was quite excited!
