This post is a roller-coaster! Congrats on the anniversary and I'm sending all my best Canadian giant vibes your wife's way for a speedy recovery! So today is my wife and I’s 29th wedding anniversary. Yay! but we’re celebrating in the ER due to the possibility of her having had a stroke on Thursday. Boo! So far things are looking up but her speech is not right yet.
Hospital carry that I’m not supposed to actually be carrying.

That’s a funny looking fork on the left of the plate, there. My wife brought some legitimate Belgian waffles back for me from her work trip to Belgium. Wowzers these are good! I’d invite ya all over, but there won’t be any left by the time you get here!

Thanks ! Yes I normally carry Crossbreed IWB lower back area very comfortable for me except when I’m driving my Type R that has race inspired seats that really hug you tight or sometimes at the movies the seats don’t feel good with it . I actually do have a aiwb kydex for my S&W Shield. I should have clarified my First CB aiwb . I liked the Kydex aiwbBeen carrying AIWB for years and I didn’t have good luck with that exact type of holster from Crossbreed. Might work great for you, but I prefer just a plain old Kydex holster with a clip right in the middle.
My point is, if you find AIWB uncomfortable, definitely try one like the style below before you give up. The offset clip on the Crossbreed made it hard for me to get into the “sweet spot” and also made the gun tip at a weird angle.
Again, might work great for you! Their other holsters for carrying in back are great.
