EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Mornin guys! Hope ya'll had an awesome Christmas! I've been out of town visiting my family this past week.

My large Sebenza 21 sure is getting worn in nicely.

I was gonna bitch about our holiday weather, but after reading Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery 's recent post I must concede that our temperate, Cape Cod coastal climate can be pretty tame compared to what many of you experience or what we get in winter at our acreage up north. Ocean breezes keep us cooler in summer and the surrounding waters keep us warmer here in winter. Cold is anything below mid-twenties and there's usually no snow cover. We got 3+ inches a couple weekends back, it was gone in two days, and we got an inch on Saturday that got erased by a torrential downpour last night. We do get a lot of rain and wind here like that.

Anyway, this morning I put away my Cheburkov Leader that I carried for 4 days, and, as is often the case, picked something closeby from the same drawer and maker to slip in pocket. This one's my hybrid, old-school Snatch/Scout with its sliding bar lock and M390 harpoon-style M390 blade. It's kind of a companion piece to my Shirogorov Tabargan with the same lock type and one I was glad to find to kind of round out that corner of my accumulation.

More wet pics here from another grey day. The rain's all but gone by now, though the temps are expected to drop, icing everything over by morning and freezing all our vehicle doors shut.

I bought this ZT203 because USA Made Blade had a sale I couldn’t refuse. I have to say I am way more impressed with it than I ever thought I would be. I heard some describe it more akin to a Kershaw rather than a ZT. That’s definitely not an opinion I share. I really appreciate the tapered crossbar lock that provides a natural purchase when deploying and releasing. It’s the nicest execution on the crossbar lock that I’ve experienced. Smooth operation, feels good in hand, and the thing feels solid like the old school ZT’s. (I have a few).
