I've certainly got no argument with that, despite having three others that I like a lot. This one has the Magnacut blade and the engraving is not only outstandingly handsome and tasteful, but adds a surprising amount of traction to the grip. I'll always appreciate that you thought of me and I was able to add this one to my stable of SHFs.

Guess I might as well carry this beauty again today....

Wow! Great stag on that barlow!

I know I'm a little behind on posts after the holidays, but that's a very good point. And I think that the flat, square, and parallel, aka the tolerances that they finish things to, are still very unique. There are a lot of products in the same price range now, but I don't think a lot of them have the same tolerances. CRKs have a tolerance of 1/10th of a thousand of an inch. Another unique thing is a little ways back from the edge, the grind on a Sebenza is actually thinner than it is at the edge. The edge gets thicker immediately after the first sharpening on other knives, however it's gets a tiny bit thinner for a little bit on a Sebenza giving you longer life out of the blade (I don't know of another manufacturer that does this).🍻

I have a few Italian traditional knives that have hollow grinds like this. I never thought about it being a feature making the knife last longer but it makes sense. I have a newfound appreciation for them now. Thanks!


A new favorite

 
Quit procrastinating with this knife and took it to my new 1inch belt sander I got myself for my December bday/ Christmas.
Just ground down a few straight lines on the spine. The hump it had before was always annoying me. So Jan 1st 2026 its value has been modified by me and I maybe change one more thing still, but glad I did it, been a user of mine for over a decade
