EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Morning.

One of the great things about using a custom maker (Paul in this case) is that you can pick knife steel. This one is from my "S7 phase" :)
Pure awesome 👍

True. If I give you her email, maybe you can convince her to go to the range with me ? :)
I'm probably not the one she needs to talk to. My wife once commented that I was always buying guns for myself, and never bought her one of her own. That weekend we went gun shopping, and she picked out the one she wanted. A S&W 642. That was about 20 years ago & I think I've gotten her to the range twice since then.:)

.... yeah, like this. And truth is - as you might guess - she can pick any of the guns and claim it as hers if she likes. And she still will let me use it afterwards .... plus, she's actually better than me with semi-autos, so I'm not really worried.

I know. I bought this Sig P938 for myself about 15 years ago, because I wanted something smaller, and easier to conceal than my regular EDCs. But somehow it became her gun, and that's okay.

Nice. We joke sometimes ..... I'm her Sous-Chef when she cooks and needs potatoes peeled, tomatoes cut, etc.

I'm also her "Sous Gun Cleaner" :)

Sounds very familiar. The trigger pull, even after a spring kit is heavy. Now my wife has a P938 and a P238. Neither of which have been carried at least since February of 2022. That is when I started working from home.
I carry this pairing a lot.20250703_091744.jpg

Nice Colt! I've been a fan of 1911s ever since I shot my first one at Marine Boot Camp in 1966. I have "a couple" of them, but mostly Springfields & Wilson.

Thank you.
Looks like this one has had some work done to it. I like it.
No, it's a standard Wilson CQB build from 2002. I bought it from a guy, who bought it new, then put it in his safe, without ever firing a shot from it. I had to do the Wilson recommended 500 round break-in after I bought it. It's by far my favorite gun.

Wow. I understand it being your favorite.
