EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

A CRKT Apache FS in ATS34.

That sounds sick! Thanks so much for replying and the info. I've seen some of your collection in other threads and man oh man...👌🏼

I imagine though, the subrosa would be hard to find?
Unfortunately I think assisted knives are illegal in my country (Australia)...ridiculous I know.

And just so not to derail this thread:

Thanks man! I've been collecting knives for the past 20 years or so. It wouldn't be possible except that I live quite minimalistic (except for knives 😂) and I'm single with no kids. Yeah, the Subrosa's been discontinued for quite some time, so they don't come up super often, however when they do come up I think they tend to be around the same price as a Benchmade runs now days, so they haven't gone super up in value from what I've seen. So they can be had for a decent price.
Partially old school. Nice. The 110 or any variation always feels good on the belt or in the hip pocket. Carried a 110 or LB7 in hip pocket for many years. A person cannot go wrong with this design.
Happy Friday my friend.
Thanks! Yeah I love the old school design of the Buck 110 and even more so the 112. They're quite the good value too considering the bolsters and frame are all integral and beefy brass. Everyone needs to have either a 110 or 112 in my opinion! The LB7's are cool too.

LimpCroissant LimpCroissant That ZT of yours is spectacular. How long have you been carrying it for?
Thanks brother! I got that ZT a while before Thanksgiving. I believe I got it from a guy on here. I really love the micarta scales that were put on it, and probably even more so, I love the BGM regrind! I've never owned a reground knife before and it's done very well! He put a nice hollow grind on it so that it can be sharpened for many, many years and not get too thick behind the edge. I rotate my carry pretty much everyday, but it gets carried about once a week, maybe week and a half.

Wish more companies did those style of fullers on titanium handles. Certain versions of the Laconico Keen had them and they are surprisingly effective in aiding grip friction (plus they look great).

I agree! After many years of carrying different knives, I figured out that I really don't like rough scales. It's just not needed in my personal experience. I like smooth scales (with some fullers like that or something is a nice touch), and really no jimping too, or light jimping if there is any at all. I just haven't come across many situations where I need rough scales and aggressive jimping.

And good morning.

Another @menem today. Did I tell you that I like Bog Oak ? :) Miro actually had this one cabon dated. That tree was growing when the Sahara was still green !

Wow, that's wildly cool! The grain on yours is awesome. So cool to have a piece of history in your hand. Last year or so I emailed Chris Reeve to ask about the Bog Oak that they use. This is what I got back:

I asked Anne a bit more about Bog Oak and she told me it is 3,000-4,000 years old and the source of the bog oak is Northern Germany/ Denmark. Hopefully, this gives you a bit more information. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

Thank you and have a great day!

So cool to know that the tree that the wood is from on my Sebenza was growing one to two thousand years before the time of Jesus. Absolutely flabbergasting!
