We've been doing a lot of spring clean-up and other outdoor tasks lately. I ended up replacing the outside hose bib on the west side as I couldn't find the stem washer needed to repair it and packing didn't work. My son gifted me a spare frost-free he had and I got that installed yesterday.

Today I got the snow-thrower out of the wood shop where it had spent it's non-use hours this winter and washed it down while my wife raked and picked up more of the literally thousands of sticks and branchlets covering the yard in the wake of this winter's nor'easters. We'd recently finished cutting up the four large treetops/limbs that came down during one of those storms, fired up the splitter after a little post-winter maintenance, and got that oak and maple--amounting to almost half a face cord--split and stocked in the woodshed this afternoon.
