No need to apologize. I’m sure the mods would have no issues with flashlights being in the photos with knives here. We just should have discussions about flashlights on another thread. The mods give us lots of leeway here, but too much will could cause them to step in.i apologize, i wasnt trying to have an extended discussion about flashlights. just commenting that i liked his and that i also bought one. should we not post our flashlights here when they are accompanied with knives? i know there is another thread for that so wasnt sure if that was a faux pas

I've got one of those in the family! It was my grandpa's first, then it was passed down to my dad. Eventually it will be passed down to me I'm sure. I just sent him your video and he was pretty stoked to see the schematics and you breaking down why it is the way it is. Some cool innovations!Throwback Thursday, checking out the very first "Folding Hunter" design from Gerber Knives featuring some very neat innovations!

Beautiful work. This my redneck front yard milling service. People think I have this elaborate shop. It shows you what can be done. I make all my samples like this. The owner and designer loved the samples but wanted them out of all rift red oak. The superintendent cropped out a sample of what they want. I really like that idea. Thanks for posting the pictures with this..The person pocket carries. I think those are kinda tricky sheaths? I made a clipped version (multiple times) but it's not as easy working as a belt sheath....but looks good.View attachment 3164446
I wanted to offer another option so I did a slip too. I'm not sure if I've ever seen this before, I'm not claiming to invent this, but.... Since I don't really like lanyard holes on handles. They hold blood and gunk. With the deeper pocket carry I needed an easier Out.
I was going to make a bronze or aluminum bead, but figured it might scratch my knife and or cars or furniture, etc.... years ago I scrounged this neat material called Amour x. I think that's how it's spelled, idk? It's expensive, so the company stopped using it. I crawled into a machine to salvage it. It's kinda like a hard, rubbery UHMW. If that makes sense?
I've used it to make some knife scales before. I like it. It's very durable, and light. I flared a piece of copper alloy and added a piece of Paracord that can be trimmed to length. My intention is the pull is just outside of the pocket. Pull tab to lift the sheath. Access knife. Carries well. I have to remember this.View attachment 3164459View attachment 3164460View attachment 3164461View attachment 3164462
