EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I was never particularly attracted to these but the last several weeks it had started to grow on me. I'm glad I went through with a trade, it's pretty awesome. Great cutter, even though it's thick-ish stock, it's very thin behind the edge and slices amazingly. One of the best performing knives out of the box I own, very sharp. Does anyone know if they are hand sharpening on stones for these? Or just standard powered belt

Saw these little fellas yesterday. Just your standard nest of tiny baby spiders. Hope I didn't disturb them too much. They chose to make their nest right next to a door knob to a portable on a jobsite.

I was busy with small tasks yesterday and managed a few meh-to-poor pics while and after working on my orange Hati which I carried. I posted over at the Bears' Den but didn't get around to doing so here as our youngest came to visit overnight from his home in the neighboring state. I did get some better shots later in the day and will be carrying the same knife again as I work on some gear here this afternoon.

Here's one breakdown pic from yesterday's cleaning and re-lubing.

We wore 5:11s for duty pants. I liked them, but the stupid things all shrank when I retired.:)

I really like them - been wearing the Tac shorts for best part of about 12 years. I "retire" them as they fade to dark gray beyond acceptable duty attire and wear those out and about. All those pockets can accommodate phone, wallet, knives, lights etc often making it unnecessary to hang anything on the belt except keys and sometimes a pistol, belt knife. First thing I found to go on them is the waist snap which of course is easily replaced. On the oldest pairs some thinning and fraying of the hems. Amazingly tough fabric, stitching, zips and even the velcro. I am retiring the end of this month and they will probably nearly all outlive me.

Just to expand a little bit on my previous post where I mentioned the sharpness of my Talon. My personal benchmark I try to achieve when sharpening, is being able to cleanly slice a hanging paper towel. Only holding the corner, not pulling it tight, I try to be able to have enough bite and sharpness to initiate the cut and slice it clean. I haven't touched this blade, this is factory edge, it does all that out of the box. Easily the best performer out of the box, nothing I've owned has even come close to cutting a hanging paper towel.

Hey norcalAF norcalAF , are you on deployment? I remember quite a while back you mentioned you were going on one out east (I won't mention where, that's your information to give or not). Stay safe my good brother!
I am spending a bit of time in the desert once again for Uncle Sam 😁. I gotta say it's a great weight loss tool!
