EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

The distribution/count of knives by maker in my accumulation varies greatly with over a third being Benchmade or Spyderco; between a half and a dozen each from such as CRK, RHK, Shiro, & Cheburkov; several each from Spartan, Al Mar, ZT, Olamic, and others; and a few in the couples, all of that culminating in a number of singles by well known, quality designer/makers. Of that last sort, there are some that come from the mid-tech lines of those better-known as custom makers and are knives I'm glad to have while spending mid-tech prices instead thousands for pieces by Gerry McGinnis, RJ Martin, and today's carry from the Performance Series by Brad Southard. I'd admired the Tolk in posts by others here for some time and was glad for the opportunity to pick this one up off the Exchange some years back and to put it in my EDC rotation.

I wanted to thank everyone again. Hercules is now in doggie Heaven. He went very peacefully. My girl and I slept next to him on the floor last night to keep him calm. He let us know it was time. When they sedated him he kissed me with his tail wagging. Incredible boy indeed..
Brother I was out for a couple days and when I saw this I had to send my condolences. I miss my old boy Blue something terrible to this day. Remember all your good times.

I’m so sorry, my friend. Hercules sounds like he was an incredible boy, and it’s clear how deeply he was loved.
The fact that you and your girl stayed next to him and kept him calm says everything about the life and love you gave him. That last kiss with his tail wagging is heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.
Rest easy, Hercules.
