I wanted to thank everyone again. Hercules is now in doggie Heaven. He went very peacefully. My girl and I slept next to him on the floor last night to keep him calm. He let us know it was time. When they sedated him he kissed me with his tail wagging. Incredible boy indeed..

I had my lockbar modded for more access, love it now. The liner on the show side was brought back to be flush with the scale and chamfered inside, and I had the texture on the lockbar smoothed out and heavily chamfered. Polished to match the oem finish, looks like it could come from the factory

Sad day tomorrow. My malamute has a hyperthyroid that is cancerous. His rear legs are going out over the past day. Its time to send him to doggie heaven. We rescued him at 5 years old and came with the name Hercules. He will be 12 soon and that's a good lifespan for a large dog. Still very sad but the only humane thing to do. While I'm really fond of the term CruCarta, I'll stick with Micarta Manix Monday for today's designation. This one took a lot of break-in time and effort, but I was pleased this morning to find it closed with a quite reasonable two finger pull. I've wanted another Manix 2 for a long time to replace the all-blacked-out one I sold years ago and am really pleased to have this alongside my M2 and PM2 CruCarta models.
