Some auto action after work.
Those are part of an MWD guidance system for drilling oil and gas wells. Made of solid carbide, it lives inside a drill pipe creating a calibrated restriction while surviving 800 gallons per minute of abrasive fluid traveling through it. Each one is about 350 bucks and some last only a few days before washed out.

Put my Spyderco fluted Ti Millie away and am carrying a Spyderco Native Chief (again) today.
Decided to carry the Native Chief (top) after taking the following picture which compares it w/the Emphasis (middle) that I just received from Spyderco that I wanted to pair w/the Efficient (bottom) upon which the Emphasis is based.
