EDC'ing 2+ knives?

Unless I am in a S&T, which I seem to be too often:grumpy: ...

I will typically EDC a locking, one-hand opening folder, a multi-tool and a SAK.

Depending on my anticipated activities of the day I may rotate around within category - but those three categories are just about always covered.

In in the wild, a fixed blade is swapped for the folder more often than not.

On my field pack there is permanently attached a Mora and a heavier duty fixed blade.

Traditional on my belt, mostly food use but often does packaging and can do pretty much anything else for urban use.
Tiny blade on my LM Style CS. It's actually really easy to keep razor sharp and does most of the non food tasks cause I don't want to gunk up my food knife.
Big OHO blade on my Skeletool. Lives in my bag but that's what is in my pocket when I working with my hands. It does the dirty utilitarian cutting and the OHO is a necessity when you are working with your hands in my opinion. The other hand is almost always busy holding something or covered with oil, etc.

Most times the Remington peanut and Vic classic are on me for day to day suburban use.

But sometimes the Vic Tinker gets teamed up with the Opinel. SAK for tools and Opinel for precise slicing and dicing.

If I need more than a pocket knife I'll carry my old Buck woodsman. a very good fish and small game knife.

A lot of times I'll team up a small mulitoool with a pocket knife. Sometimes tools are needed more than a knife.

I regularly carry 3-4 blades, including SAK's and Multi-tools. But the most I've ever had on me was 6 blades, and the fewest was one.

Many days, my pocket-dump looks like this (plus my iPhone, keys, and money clip):

Why do you need so much stuff?? Is it because of your occupation?

I always have my Joe Allen Peanut on my key chain and my Al Mar Falcon on me. Usually ill carry something else just for fun.

I normally just carry a folder and a small multi tool. Though I've recently toyed with the idea of carrying two folders: one for cutting cardboard other abrasive materials that I don't mind getting dull, and another that stays razor sharp for everything else.

I only carry one knife and typically prefer a modern folder with around a 3 inch blade. I like to minimize the weight, and sheer number of objects, in my pockets. If I'm being honest, I can easily get through my average day without a pocket knife at all and if I found myself needing a fixed blade, chances are something has gone drastically wrong in my life.

When on Active duty, I carried 2 or more blades. In Garrison, one on my belt (Either/both a Leatherman MUT and Buck 110) and another in my pocket. In the field/harms way, a fixed blade was on either my belt or kit, depending on what I felt like lugging around- generally a RatManDu.
