Last weekend I went to a place called the "Edge of the World" in central Saudi Arabia. My companion was a modified CGFBM. Here are some pics.

First I wanted to go by plane but when I saw THIS I had second thoughts:

Going by car turned out to be quite fun:

Wow! 15 replies already  I better start catching up :D

Thanks to all of you for your kind comments. Due to some preassure from my wife I started taking pictures only about six months ago. Before that I was a strict "no camera man". So I bought a camera and some lenses and suddenly I really enjoy shooting around. It's actually a little bit like hunting.

You sure you're not in Arizona? ;)

Right, the scenery is basically the same - just mine is tax free :p :D

So cool! Once I'm done with college I'm going traveling...

Do it  I actually learned more from my travels than any college could have ever tought me.

Cool

Doing doughnuts in the desert would be pretty fun :D

They'd be "dustnuts" pretty quickly :D

Brilliant photos! It looks like you've been on a trip to Mars!

Thanks a lot! There are times when I feel like being on Mars here :(

Al-Sheikh,

How is the CGFBM modified?

Stripped, corrugations gound off and satin finished.

Very nice pics. The sprig of greenery rising from the sandy ground was a bit poetic. Thanks for sharing.
