In this thread we post pictures that focus on the beautiful sharp edges of knives. I'll start with some of mine.

If I posted the hack-job edges that I've put on my blades you guys would have a fit (especially on my xm-18). So, instead I'll just look on in amazement.

I like the mirror polished edges guys but, I have always found that a bit toothier edge is better for most every day tasks myself. It is nice to see what the high grit stones can do though once and a while but, unless you're push cutting/shaving it's really not the best edge for every day uses imo.

Most of my everyday tasks are just cutting open paper and plastic packaging, for that they work great, but I've noticed that my mirror edges do kind of fail at cutting tough cardboard boxes when I have to. I actually really like the look of the edge on that Emerson for a nice toothy edge

While I really like the look of a high polish (and have a bunch), I too like just a bit of tooth on most carry knives. My favorite edge (that has become a trademark of mine for friends I've sharpened for), is a frosty jeweled edge. Taken to the KME 1500 diamond stone, then lightly stropped. Sorry the pic only has a bit of edge lit up, I only had a tiny light on the tip of my desk pen for the pic. In full daylight, it just looks amazing. And pretty darn sharp to boot. Most people I show it to usually hand it back with blood on their hands. :)

I cant claim that work on the roadhouse, it was done by Josh at razoredgeknives and it is a sick edge

If your polished blade has trouble going through cardboard, i believe the edge isn't sharpened.

My polished edges fly through cardboard. And it's not even half as pretty as the ones in this thread...

This is polished

This is slightly toothy

This is toothy, but thin and stupid sharp

A Forever ceramic knife, with it's edge refined up to 6 micron diamond compound on a Paper Wheel.
Although the scratch pattern can still be seen with my Victorinox loupe, it's getting difficult for my cheap camera to do the same.
The edge can slice single layer toilet paper cleanly, treetop the hair on the back of my hand, and whittle a chest hair towards the root.
Pics were taken with floodlight, and you can click them 2 x.

The same knife, now with it's edge refined up to 1 micron diamond compound. (didn't take any edge pics as my cheap camera wouldn't show the difference)
It can whittle chest hairs towards the point along the entire edge and also slice a tomato quite well.

Currently using this knife almost exclusively in our kitchen.

One hell of a mirror edge from Josh at RazorEdgeKnives. Has held up for a very long time and will still bite you if you so much as look at it wrong ;)
